After months of speculation and rumor, Xbox has unveiled a new series of hardware upgrades for both the Xbox Series X and S, including an all-digital Series X, all of which will be available this holiday.
During today’s Xbox Games Showcase, Xbox showed off a new, all-digital Xbox Series X in “robot white” with 1TB of storage. It has all the speed and features of an Xbox Series X, but there’s no disc drive, and it costs $449.99. That’s $50 cheaper than the regular X retail price.
We also saw a new Xbox Series S similarly with 1TB (up from the 500GB of the original Series S console), which is basically the same as the current Xbox Series S 1TB in carbon black, just a different color. It will cost $349.99.
Finally, there’s a new special edition Xbox Series X in “galaxy black” with 2TB of storage. Don’t be deceived – it’s not a plain black Xbox. It’s dotted with a pattern of little stars in silver, grey, and green that looks like the night sky. It costs $599.99, and will come with a matching controller that only comes with the console. This edition will only be available in limited quantities.
