Starship Troopers: Extermination, Now with a Single Player Story, Is Blasting Bugs This October on PS5

Starship Troopers: Extermination — a first-person adaptation of the cult classic movie series — is bringing the fight to PS5 on the 11th October. Primarily a co-op, objective-based shooter, Extermination will launch with a 25-mission single-player campaign when it comes to consoles. And apparently, more single-player missions will be added post-launch.

The campaign actually stars main character Johnny Rico from the first 1997 film (and a couple of the sequels), voiced by his original actor, Casper Van Dien. A nice touch.

The game has been in early access on PC since last May, and it’s done rather well for itself, garnering positive user reviews. From what we understand, it can be a little rough around the edges, but the hope is that everything will be smoothed out for the 1.0 release.
