Sky Mavis reveals Ronin Forge, an early access program for Web3 devs

Sky Mavis today announced Ronin Forge, a new early access program that allows Web3 game developers to bring their new, experimental titles to the company’s Ronin blockchain. Ronin Forge offers accepted developers a $50,000 grant, access to build on Ronin and technological infrastructure. According to Sky Mavis, it launched this new initiative to foster development on the Ronin blockchain.

Ronin Forge is now open for applications, and Sky Mavis plans to accept six teams on a rolling basis. The ideal applicants have games in late alpha or early beta stage, or about 3-6 months away from launch, and a passion for Web3 games, NFTs and tokens. The most successful developers have a shot at becoming Studio Partners. Sky Mavis offers Partners white-glove advisory support and up to $500,000 in additional funding.

Aleksander Leonard Larsen, Sky Mavis’s COO and co-founder, said in a statement, “Ronin Forge is the next step in further opening up Ronin for builders. By offering grants and access to the Sky Mavis ecosystem, this will serve as an experimental ground for developing the next generation of Web3 games. We aim to encourage innovation and build network effects, inviting like-minded studios to join on our path towards scaling the Ronin Network.”
