Juicy Button Games, a new game development studio, emerged from stealth today and announced it has closed a $3 million seed funding round.
The company also announced its founding team, who are leading development on its first title. The Games Fund, which announced its $50 million investment fund for European studios, led the funding round. Juicy Button is headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus.
Juicy Button is working on its first game, a mobile 4x strategy title. The company said in their press statement that they intend to create a European title that can challenge Chinese-created games in the same genre. Its founding team includes Total Battle creator Alexander Kravchuk, Cubic Games co-founder Anton Sinelnikov and Panoramik Games co-founder Aleksandr Zaytsev. Sinelnikov also participated in the funding round as an angel investor.
Kravchuk said in a statement, “To launch Juicy Button Games, we brought together all four key elements: leading marketing expertise, cutting-edge tech, massive game design knowledge, and smart capital. Each of us has been in the games industry for decades and built successful companies, best in class. We united to alloy our collective expertise and resources and pour it into building the best 4x strategy game on the market. We’re set to launch and scale top-quality, deep, and juicy games that players will enjoy for years.”

This is the most recent investment by The Games Fund, which has also participated in funding for Roar Games, Obelisk Studio, Made on Earth Games, KEK Entertainment and Jarvi Games.
