Samsung is going to launch the company’s next set of foldable smartphones, which will have two models, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on 10 July 2024.

So far, there have been many leaks and rumors about the two devices, showing us how they look, what they offer, and how much they cost. But it doesn’t mean that we are done with their leaks and rumors.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 spotted on Secure MIIT

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 have now been certified by Secure MIIT (via MySmartPrice). The certifications say that these two devices feature dual-SIM 5G connectivity, which we already know.

While the new leak doesn’t reveal any new information, it tells us that Samsung is still in the process of getting the two foldable devices certified by various authorities to launch them around the globe.

What will Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices offer?

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which will offer better performance and higher efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

Both upcoming phones will have a design that’s more boxier and sharper than the current models, making them appear more modern. The foldable displays on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 should also have a less noticeable crease than that on the foldable displays of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

The story continues after the video…

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a  50MP primary camera at the rear instead of the 12MP unit on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Plus, the upcoming clamshell phone will have a 4,000mAh battery compared to the 3,700mAh unit on the current model. Sadly, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have the same cameras and battery as the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
