‘Diablo 4’ Season 4 Details Big Bonuses For Anniversary Event

Diablo 4 is celebrating the two year anniversary of Diablo Immortal, a game which I’ve never become a convert of, but hey, at least this event is bringing bonuses to Diablo 4 itself, which I am currently re-addicted to.

There are a few things going on in what is being called the “March of the Goblins” event, and here are the bonuses that will be heading to D4, and when.

March of the Goblins – June 6-13

There will be increased Treasure Goblin spawns all around Sanctuary, which will include both double Goblin appearances at times, but possibly even a lot more than that on rare occasions. The contents of their bags are also being buffed, as right now they contain things like boss summoning materials and at least one guaranteed legendary. I’m hoping for significantly more. One catch here is that Treasure Goblins do not spawn in one of the most-played activities of the season, The Pit, which has zero drops of anything until the final chest in order to facilitate speed runs.

Mother’s Blessing – June 14-24

We have seen this before, but there are some tweaks this time around to the bonus event. Players we earn 25% more experience and 50% more gold, which are multiplicative rates that stack with other bonuses. This applies to all realms and will help accelerate battle pass progression and mastery farming, due to the gold increase. It will also help if you want to level alternate characters quickly.

Free Cosmetics – Claim any time between June 6-20

Armor? Don’t be silly. But these are cool all the same. There are apparently seven cosmetics you can claim in total, a scythe, two swords, a staff and an axe, along with a new horse and horse armor. Unlike some past holiday events, these are simply log in bonuses that you can claim instantly if you play the game during that time period, which begins a week from now.

There will no doubt be more events to come over the summer given that this current season runs until August. We are also waiting for more information about Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred expansion which will be out this fall, and introduce a new character class along with significant story-based content, something the seasons have lacked pretty heavily, despite their other improvements.

I’ll be playing this on and off after The Final Shape launches in Destiny 2, and thankfully this event ends before Shadow of the Erdtree is out, like the day before, which I have to believe they did on purpose. Smart Blizzard.
